Welcome to Satish Kumar’s Homepage
I am a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant in the School of Computer Science, University of Birmingham, Birmingham, UK. Prior to that, I was a Lecturer at IMS College Ghaziabad and Teaching Associate at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, India. In my PhD project, I am fortunate to conduct my research work under the supervision of Dr Rami Bahsoon, Professor Rajkumar Buyya ( The University of Melbourne & Rank #1 Computer Scientist in Australia), and Dr Tao Chen (Loughborough University, UK). Recently, one of my PhD research work has been recognised for the Best Student Paper Award in the 15th IEEE/ACM SEAMS, 2020.
My research has been on software engineering, including but not limited to, cloud computing and service computing. I am interested in engineering self-adaptive and service-based systems, particularly understanding, improving and assessing their run-time behaviours from performance and economic-driven perspective, and applying them in cloud-based, IoT-Driven Services, service-oriented and distributed environment. Most of my work leverages Computational Intelligence, Machine Learning and Economic Theory to tackle these problems.
